Hong Kong student scored 11A* in IGCSE

Island School student Christopher Lee scored 11A* in GCSE. He also received the highest mark worldwide in First Language English, he's one of nine ESF students awarded "Top in the World". Christopher said that he was quite surprised about the result. At home he communicated with his parents in Chinese. He thought reading English books helped his writing  skill.  He had applied to the University of Hong Kong to study Medicine.

Ronald Yip of South Island School said that he enjoyed calculating, “Mathematics is all about logical thinking, the more you do it the better your understanding is,” he said. His peer Alison Tsang, also got the Maths award, said she spent one to two hours a day to practice maths but she would never stay up all night studying. Qin-Yin Lin of KGV received highest score in Music, she started playing the piano and flute since a very young age.
