STC student enters final eight at Barcelona World Cup for fencing

Kaylin Hsieh from ESF Sha Tin College (STC) participated at the World Cup 2018 in Barcelona last month. Her achievement was covered in Apple Daily on 26 February 2018. She represented Hong Kong and beat Korea, bringing Hong Kong to the top eight, the first time for Hong Kong.

​After the World Cup, Kaylin won Gold at the Asian Cadet and Junior Fencing Championship. Kaylin is STC’s first student to be enrolled on the three-year Diploma Programme, as part of the IBO’s partnership with the World Academy of Sports and the Hong Kong Sports Institute.
