Regional ACT Conference for Chinese teaching and learning
West Island School hosted the third regional ACT Conference for Chinese teaching and learning which took place on 25 April 2015. More than 230 teachers from 53 international schools across China and the South East Asia region attended.
The workshops were led by experienced classroom teachers, many of whom were from ESF schools. Conference participates were able to choose from over 35 workshops covering the following themes: Assessment for Learning, Curriculum Design, Technology, Pedagogy and Inquiry Learning.
Throughout the day, there was a real buzz and excitement as colleagues exchanged their ideas and discussed how they could improve their practice. This has established ACT as an influential professional learning community dedicated to bringing teachers together to help other teachers. Feedback was very positive and everyone is looking forward to the next conference in 2016.
