Ms Daisy Lee

Independent Governor

Ms Daisy Lee is a homegrown Hong Kong Chinese who was born, educated and raised in Hong Kong. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Business Administration both from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

She has been working as a Human Resources professional for over 35 years until mid-2022, when she retired early. She spent her initial HR career in financial institutions, including Citibank and Merrill Lynch Asia Pacific Limited, which was subsequently acquired by Bank of America. After working for almost 25 years in the financial industry, she changed to a totally different industry by joining The Hong Kong Jockey Club where she worked until her retirement. As a HR professional, she has devoted her efforts in providing the best possible and suitable workplace to employees so that they can focus on their work without having to worry about whether the company would take good care of their career development, well-being and provide them with a fair and equitable compensation. Daisy has retired in order to put more focus and time on herself, her family and the HK community.

At present, Daisy is a board member of the Zonta Club of Victoria, HK which consists of woman professionals working together to advance the status of women through its engagement in social service programmes and charitable activities to serve the local HK community. She was involved in volunteering work in NGOs like The HK Down Syndrome Association and engaged in church activities. She was the School Council Chair of West Island School before she was nominated to join the ESF Board as an independent member.
