Mr David Butts is President Asia Pacific & Group Executive Vice President of Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd, the global leader in cordless battery powered tool and equipment business in the world. TTI, US$13 billion in global sales, is a publicly traded corporation listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange and markets technologically advanced products under a world-class portfolio of brands such as Milwaukee, Ryobi, Hart, and Hoover. He oversees several business units and Corporate functional areas, like Corporate Communications, and reports directly to the CEO. Primary responsibility is leading the rapid Asia region expansion of the Milwaukee business, where the brand now holds the largest share in key geographic markets.
Joined TTI as head of business development and a member of the TTI Founder’s leadership team, where he successfully completed assignments with business unit and P&L responsibility, covering geographies of North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Prior to TTI, David started his career at Emerson Electric Co. in their Corporate Executive Development program before heading to the operating business units, accomplishing roles in finance, product management, marketing, sales and general management. He held positions of growing responsibility in product development, sales, marketing, product management, and the P&L leadership of a joint-venture between Emerson and Robert Bosch GmbH which brought him to Hong Kong.
Mr Butts is a graduate of Georgetown University earning a Master of Business Administration, concreting on International Business. Prior to attending Georgetown, he received a Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Operations Research and Industrial Engineering School at Cornell University. He is a board member of the Wurth Master Power Tool Ltd, a joint venture between TTI and Wurth to develop and produce a professional range of cordless power tools. He is the Vice Chairman, Board of Governors, and previously Co-Chair, Innovation and Technology Committee, for the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and active in the business community.
