ESF welcomes first cohort of HKSI Elite Athletes

ESF always and in all ways support students to be the best that they can be. This year, we are excited to have our first Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) Elite Athletes completing their IB Diploma under the World Academy of Sport (WAoS) accreditation.

The WAoS agreement is a new initiative from ESF to support students who are determined to pursue a profession in sport.

Kaylin Hsieh, a Year 12 student from ESF Sha Tin College who has enrolled on the three-year Diploma Programme, is now qualified for the World Championships in July (Wuxi) and the Asian Games (Jakarta) in August.

In October, she will participate in the Youth Olympic Games in Argentina. She also won Gold at the Senior Women’s Epee Individual in Croatia, adding to her two Gold medals in Dubai and Verona earlier this year.
