‘Making Links’ – South Island School Charity Initiatives
As part of ESF South Island School’s charity initiatives, the ‘Making Links’ was held on 27 September. The event showcased charities and student led initiatives ranging from organisations such as Amnesty International and World Vision to student led extracurricular activities such as SIS Sports Insight and Diwali Night.
Throughout the day, students from Years 9 to 13 were able to talk to, get to know and make links with over 25 charities. The Year 12s had the opportunity to seek out valuable CAS opportunities, as well as to promote their own initiatives and projects. Overall, this event proved to be successful in reinforcing the school’s ethos – “Making A Difference”!
