ESF students bring winter warmth to the elderly

Despite the winter chill, English Schools Foundation (ESF) Sha Tin College (STC) organised elderly visits this January to distribute gift packs to the elderly, bringing warmth and joy to the community.

Service trip to Sin Tin Tao, Home for the Aged, was organised by the school last month to celebrate Chinese New Year. Nearly 40 STC students have participated. Pots of Rosy Periwinkle were grown by the students and given to the elderly as gifts. The gift packs also included clothes, daily toiletries and snacks. The event successfully concluded with students singing joyful songs together with the elderly in welcoming the Year of the Monkey with optimism and hope.
